Forgiveness Promotes Growth
Forgiveness sounds easier than done. The reality is if you have been really hurt by someone it can be hard to forgive and forget. Perhaps is easier to just evaluate what it is that is hurting or bothering you before the forgiveness stage. If you don't forgive you will always dwell on what happened AKA the past. How will you experience the more beautiful things in life if you are focusing all of your energy on pain and unhappiness?
Forgiving people that have hurt you or even self forgiveness is so liberating. What do I mean about forgiving yourself? What i'm referring to is if you have messed up in the past it is pointless to always blame yourself for the outcome. You go through experiences and you grow. Accepting responsibility for your actions is a great start and accepting the reality of the situation is where the self liberation begins. So what you messed up, if you don't move on with what you learned you will dwell and dwelling means you aren't moving. If you have done your part to make the situation better and there are no results just let go! Please do not get stuck, give yourself time to morn, accept and move on. Everyone is different and we all bounce back in different ways. Now onto people that hurt you, well no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. If you are genuinely sorry then wouldn't you want forgiveness well what better way then to practice this with others. Forgiveness promotes growth and relieves you of negative thoughts.
If you have a situation that keeps bothering you simply write down what is bothering you. My biggest piece of advice is don't hold onto anything negative because grudges and bad moods aren't good for your health. Focus your energy on more productive things and everything else will fall into place. No more tormenting yourself let go of anything that does not serve you well. Forgive, love and appreciate the experiences that serve you well.
